In 2022, Nova quickly proved her dedication and natural flair for the stage, just six months after her first pole dance class, 4 months into stripping, she competed at PSO Canada East in Toronto (October 2022), taking home first place in Exotic Pole Level 2. Shortly after, she expanded her artistry to the world of burlesque. She brings a modern twist to classic burlesque, pairing today’s music and pop culture with old-school silhouettes, glamour, and choreography.
Burlesque is deeply rooted in sex work, and Queen Nova proudly honors that legacy. The art form has always existed at the intersection of sensuality, satire, and empowerment, shaped and sustained by strippers, showgirls, and other sex workers who blurred the line between entertainment and erotic expression. Nova carries that lineage forward with gratitude, recognizing that her work on stage today is possible…
